Poster „Church Vibration 2”
The poster is intended to draw attention to the
vibration caused by vehicles and its damage to the
architectural heritage buildings in the Old Town of
Vilnius.
For this poster, I used various techniques,
I managed to create a distinct impression of vibration by drawing thousands of lines with ink and by hand.
Currently, the Old Town of Vilnius is excessively
adapted to car traffic and inconvenient for
pedestrians, not to mention people with disabilities
or parents with strollers. For many Vilnius residents, it
is simply convenient to shorten their route through
the Old Town by driving from point A to point B. Four
out of ten cars entering the Old Town do not have the
Old Town itself as their destination; they are simply
taking a shortcut. During peak hours, the number of
such cars increases up to 49 percent. Heavy traffic
increases pollution, noise, the risk of accidents, and
the vibrations caused by cars damage the historical
objects in the Old Town.
